Project Summary
Elevator Pitch

Concise Summary: Help us pitch this solution! Provide an explanation within 3-4 short sentences.

We need to take initiative to help every underprivileged child in bringing out their creative sides. By taking free art education classes we are helping children develop and learn new skills. These classes supplement what these children learn in their local schools and hence are very helpful.

WHAT IF - Inspiration: Write one sentence that describes a way that your project dares to ask, "WHAT IF?"

What if every child could get an equal opportunity to learn? What if the designs that we see in our day to day lives actually came from someone who have never seen a crayon in their life?
About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

Children from the underprivileged section suffer from a lack of opportunities. These children have no access to social or cultural events and hence do not get the chance to develop their personality. Apart from what they learn in their local schools they have no source to learn new skills or polish the skills that they already have without putting their families under financial strain.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

For these children, providing access and providing them with a platform to showcase their talent and improve their skills can improve their life drastically and can help in their overall development. We have setup a small unit to teach art skills to children. We are providing free art education to underprivileged children who are passionate about learning art and take it forward in their career.
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

It is all due to lack of proper resources and opportunities that these suffer from. These children get little to no chance to showcase the creative skills that they posses. The art classes that we take act as an escape from their day to day routine. Every member of our team aims to make the lives of these children more colorful and creative by teaching them various art forms and art techniques that are appropriate for their age. We are also conducting awareness campaigns in schools and colleges to create awareness amongst youngsters in various fields including the importance of Human Rights , technical advancements and to give them a chance to take part in the initiative.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

Using art as a medium we are developing life skills and supplementing the learning that these children get in their local schools. So far we have worked with like minded individuals and by direct hands on efforts we have successfully worked in collaboration with another NGO. Apart from personality development,it has created a sense of camaraderie amidst the children as they work together on an art project. We wish to expand our initiative and teach students at a young age so that the quality education and skills are imparted at a young age and so that these children can get equal opportunities as other children. We are constantly undertaking new commitments and programs, both at the community and at the educational levels to help children become better at extracurricular activities.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

We have collaborated and coordinated with NGO’s and other local bodies at various levels and to carry out different kinds of developmental programs. We have further collaborated with a publishing company which is ready to use the paintings and drawings made by these children as the front and back cover for their notebooks and registers. We are planning to expand the initiative to different states all over India to spread the idea and to get even more people involved so as to make even bigger impact on the society and in these children's lives.
Funding: How is your project financially supported?:
individual donations or gifts - 10%
grants or contracts - 10%
earned income (product or services sales, licensing, franchising, consulting, financing, etc.) - 80%

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

Our collaboration with publishing companies gives our project the financial stability that it needs. The money that we get in return from these paintings and drawings are used to gather supplies and arrange the art classes for the children and the rest of it is donated to the NGO's for their development.

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

There are not many projects aiming to eradicate this problem. This project not only focuses on bringing out their creative side but also teaches them life skills and develops their mind using art as a medium. It gives children who want to pursue art as their career an opportunity to follow their passion and live their dream without putting them under any kind of financial strain. We aim to initiate, organize, establish and execute different kinds of creative and developmental programs aimed at enhancing their creative skills.

Founding Story

We have always wanted to bridge up the gap between the two sections of the society- the privileged and the underprivileged section. Many children lose the touch with their creative selves and follow mainstream career paths. We wanted people to use their creative brains and paint the world with beautiful colors along with helping others to do the same.We felt that this was the right time to bring this plan into action as it was either now or never.

Our team consists of college students and they have been awarded various posts in the organization. We have a managing team which makes appointments with the NGO's and other local bodies. The creative team, which manages the art classes and plans the curriculum for the children.
