About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

This project is trying to solve the problem of non-recycling food in Park Campus Restaurant, University of Northampton.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

We, as a team, want to create a student society that will mitigate the problem by organizing events and activities with the help of the Students` Union and the University.
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

The society will engage students in activities and events that are meant to stop wasting food. Some of the students don`t even have recycling facilities back in their home countries, so this society will be very helpful for them so then they can be helpful for their friends in terms of recycling food.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

So far, the project managed to have an impact on at least 100 people, due to a survey conducted. The people are now aware of the problem and how to avoid it.

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

The society will be fully sustained by the Students` Union funds for societies.
