Elevator Pitch

Concise Summary: Help us pitch this solution! Provide an explanation within 3-4 short sentences.

We believe education as a basic human right, and that literacy open the door to a life of learning. Higher literacy levels enable people to overcome the barriers of poverty and disease and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.Unfortunately my recipient do not access education.

WHAT IF - Inspiration: Write one sentence that describes a way that your project dares to ask, "WHAT IF?"

What if those children could be educated and become professional and save thousands of people?
About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

The population of children living in the street is increasing as days does on unfortunately the society is not caring. If those children left unattended at it is now, what type of citizen will they become?rebel?thieves?or illegal migrant? This project is intended to reduce the number illiteracy and guide youth to become responsible citizen in the future.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

The solution is help children who are living in risk environment to access education and prepare those children to become responsible parent and also responsible citizen. The following will be observed: number of children reached, will acquire literacy skills, ultimately they will change behavior wise.100 children will benefit in year 1.At the end family reunification will be facilitated. The important thing is We will make sure those kids has sat for national examination and those who will pass will join formal system of education.Other will be referred to vocational education and there are those whom their talents will be identified and developed.Ultimately their number in the street will be minimized.Possibly reduce the number of crime.

As the project we haven't yet been awarded any reward of honor.
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

We will enroll 100 children in year one that 2006.After three to four year of training the following will be the output: 25 children will sit for Std IV National examination and 10-25 children will sit for Std VII and we hope out them 5-10 may pass and join secondary school. In year two the geographical coverage of the project will be wider meaning more regions will be covered that is to say 2 more regional will be covered. As we all know those kids are exposed to cigarette and Indian herb smoking,as they stay with us we will work hard to make sure they change that behavior probably 25 will quite that behavior.Re unification with their family in year 2,10 kids will be reunited with their family.Ultimately their number in street will go down.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

As for now there are those who have shown some improvement in class and they have changed to like their studies if they will continue like that they are assuring me that in future they will turn to be professionals. From beggar to professional. As I have stated early education unlock poverty, diseases etc that case then we are expecting them to dislike the kind of life they are living of spending night on corridors or in unfinished house.I am also seeing the society changing their perception towards them from hating them to liking them.I am also seeing them refusing involving in criminal act.I am also seeing them in schools and some reunited with their family.I am seeing sports man and technicians from that group of children who were living in the street hopelessly. To sum up 25% will continue with studies at different levels,25% will become vocational workers and the remaining 50 can read.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

50% of children will change their behavior from bad to good. 25% will be moderate neither bad nor good .10% will totally change their behavior and the remaining 15 will not easily noticed whether changed or not. In terms of school they more than 75% will like schooling and 25% undecided. Concerning family reunification majority will opt not to go home. This depends to the reason why he/she left home but majority has bad experience and they will prefer not to go home

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

We are planning to establish a formal school where we will enroll children who are taken care by their family and the percentage of the fee that they pay will be used to support children from risk environment.2.I am working hard for other company such as Trevo so when I will r each a certain level they will support with a certain amount of cash which I will inject to the organization.3.We will start vocational education classes and product sold.

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

There several institution which handle street children. They take them and host them at a center. And sponsor them to ordinary school.Normally very few finish school the reason being they are taken to school were they normally find those who are there are not their age mate.At school there are rules which they don't want follow they normally end up running. Our approach we don't host them we identify them held a meeting with them, choose a meeting place, decide a time to meet, set rules with them and by doing so they comply with rules and are all age mate with similar behavior. This is cost effective

Founding Story

When I joined secondary education I was relocated to the City of Mwanza in my country Tanzania it was in that city where I realized that there are children who has no home and do not access education. From Mwanza I went to another city Arusha the situation were similar. In 2012 Reach for Change came up with challenge competition I decided to join with the idea of helping those street children to access education.I designed a modal which I named mobile class for street children. My approach was that it was the trainers who were following the recipient at their place of choice.Together recipients and facilitators jointly they set meeting time, venue and set rules to adhere to during the learning.

After long process of assessing our innovative idea I imaged among the three winners who were awarded US $ 25,000.00 to put their ideas in action. From March to December 2013 more that 126 children benefited from that initiative. As I am writing now 9 children from the street joined formal system out of this initiative. As for now the pace is so short reason being I don't have any support.Only two people are volunteering.Myself and David Mondo
