Concise Summary: Help us pitch this solution! Provide an explanation within 3-4 short sentences.

WHAT IF - Inspiration: Write one sentence that describes a way that your project dares to ask, "WHAT IF?"
What if healthcare could be available right where you most need it, in the vicinity of your homes, in that split second before the ambulance arrives?
Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?
The problem is seen in Tanzania. Healthcare services and Medical Advice are inaccessible to majority of the people, as evidenced by the Mortality Rates being high. People that cant afford healthcare services are many, people that cant afford to travel to areas with healthcare services are also high, deliveries are done in homes, drug abuse exists in form of traditional herbs.
Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!
The proposed solution is to create a whole healthcare system available on phones, almost everyone has a mobile phone, and if healthcare services were to be available on it, it would change peoples lives.
Our program will consist of medical professionals, that will be ready to answer calls, reply to texts of the patients and affected individuals. The medical professionals will give appropriate advice to each patient, and call an ambulance in case of emergency.
Our pediatrician and gynaecologist addresses all the maternal and children health
With our daily tips sent on texts, our program aims to educate the public
With our family planning and sexual health advisors, we aim to change the current STD prevalence
Impact: How does it Work
Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.
Calling services - A woman calls inquiring about breast cancer, and she says she feels a lump in her breasts but she cant afford any medical care, our medical professional asks her a few questions of how it is, and based on her answers, he identifies whether it really is important for her to actually visit the doctor.
A person called because he witnessed a his friend faint on the street, he calls us, and our medical professionals tell him that he hasnt just fainted but he is having a seizure, and our professionals explain to him what to do until the ambulance arrives
Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.
Our program currently receives 100 texts a day from people, this is only because we have limited the patients to a certain sample size.
Each day, the texts are increasing, with more and more inquiries about health problems. Currently, we have changed a few lives by giving important medical advice, its not much as to be seen from a national perspective, but we are keeping our hopes up, changing one life at a time.
We project a future in which 70% of Tanzanians will be into our program, and we will change their lives. Also, we project a drastic decrease in the maternal, infant, under-5 mortality rates.
Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?
Our main spread strategies are to keep going and to get more and more people so that we can help them with healthcare
Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?
We plan to charge a minimum subscription fee, just to pay the medical professionals on our side, the telecommunication bills, and the members salaries and to grow the company further
Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?
There is no other known program that addresses the healthcare problem the way we want to.
Our project is a new idea that is growing fast and that is really appealing to the public's needs.
My grandfather lives in a rural area, he has a couple of farms that he uses to generate his income. One day, he fell sick, contracted pneumonia. As he was in a rural area, healthcare was very scarce, and he couldnt get any, keeping in mind he could afford medical care, he still didnt get any because there wasnt any available. A few homeopathic people gave him medicine that didnt work. His health was becoming worse and worse day by day. Until we decided to bring him to the urban area, and admitted him to a hospital.
Then it hit me, Aha! How about i change the fact that medical care isnt available everywhere! Since then ive been motivated for my cause, I will not stop till I do this.
