Audience: Who have you identified as your customer/recipient groups and do these groups value your solution for different reasons? How do you engage different customer/recipient groups to deliver your solution?
Prevention of child sexual abuse, exploitation and protection of children who have been abused, those who are at risk of being abused and the general populace of children at large, be it school going or not.
The recipient groups of the solution are as follows: Community Leaders, Women’s Groups, Community based NGOs, Clergy, Teachers and pupils but the target group mostly are young people at risk and the victims of sexual abuses, this to say children and youths.
They are engaged in training and sensitization programs.
Scaling the solution: How would the prize money and publicity help you to achieve your objectives over the next two years?
In two years time the prize and publicity would enable my initiative reach and offer its intended objectives in other countries through Anti-child abuse & exploitation campaign, sensitization, workshops, seminars and conferences.
The main objective of my initiative is to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation before it occurs and not after-the-fact actions. Therefore the prize and publicity would enable the initiative reach to other countries fast and provide a platform that would help empower people to speak up against and confront all forms of sexual abuse and exploitation and to highlight the importance of prevention. As such Africa would have very few victims and more children growing up free from sexual trauma.
Experience: Please provide examples of any previous entrepreneurial initiatives you have pioneered
An entrepreneurial initiative have pioneered is an NGO called Yet Youth Empowerment Transformation (YYET) where I hold a Directorate position (Director-Operations) at a very tender age and whilst a student. YYET is a registered NGO which was established in 2013 with a sole purpose of empowering the youth through providing employment, entrepreneurship, farming, ICT and construction skills so as to contribute to the alleviation of poverty.
