Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

Ponds and streams are a complex ecological system of the existence ecological community. These systems were created over a long period of evolution. Reservoirs are not only collections of water in which water is averaged over the quality, but in these processes continuously changing of the matter composition occur the approach to equilibrium, which may be disrupted due to many reasons, but especially as a result of effluent discharge.

Solution of this problem may be the using of evaporators for deep concentration and evaporation of the wastewater. Aims of my project are: • Development of recycling schemes industrial wastewater having advantages due to the possibility of obtaining highly concentrated products are ready to realize and utilize waste energy, fuel, water and territorial resources; • Improve the design of the apparatus submerged combustion for the intensification of heat transfer; • study of the combustion zone air ballasting to reduce fuel consumption and create the necessary conditions of combustion; • study of intermittent burning as a method of reducing fuel consumption.

Water of water treatment plants is one of the most dangerous on a power plants. Direct discharge of sewage water treatment plants to water is impossible because of sharp change in pH as well as high content of coarse impurities and salts. If the removal of coarse impurities and regulation of pH is not difficult, the decline in the concentration of truly dissolved solids should be kept to a repetition of the same processes that were used in water treatment plants. This will ultimately lead to a sharp increase in the number of discharges of salts with a significant increase in the total costs of water treatment. Solution of this problem may be the using of evaporators for deep concentration and evaporation of the wastewater.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

During the work we have designed evaporator with submerged burners for the concentration of sodium sulfate solution Na2SO4 from wastewater formed during regeneration and flushing cationite and anionite filters of water treatment plant CHP. Proposed to use the device with a submersible burner are used to evaporate salt solutions. Crystallized salt can be removed with a special valve located at the bottom of the conical bottom. Gas-vapor mixture is discharged through the unit mounted on the lid of the tube, inside which are placed fender guards for the separation of solution drops. We have designed plan and main equipment, such as: adiabatic evaporation installation, submerged burner, venture’s scrubber, cyclone demister, etc.Evaporation of effluents in the installation will reduce to 25-50 times the volume of pond sludge.
