About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

Most of the strategic products used in the medical field especially in the clinical laboratories is imported from Asia or Europe to Africa and the MENA region which affects the either the price of the product or the quality which is also affecting wither the price or the accuracy of the test.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

We established Kaizen to target the strategic products in the medical field especially in the clinical laboratories and affording them with the best quality, suitable prices to the target market and just in time according to the voice of the customer using our skills and knowledge in the industrial engineering to make it sustainable for poor patients.
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

As a start we were able to be the first to produce the ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) pipette in Africa and second in the MENA region providing it with the suitable quality better than the Chinese and the Indian competitors Also, with a better price in Egypt more than the Italian and the German competitors. Not only that we were able to afford the first open system for the pipettes in the world which is providing the doctors with more flexibility during the test and we are in the middle of registering it as a utility model.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

For now we were able to help many laboratories (governmental and private) to provide their services accurately with a suitable price and as a fast as they can without affecting their profit margin.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

We are looking in the next three to five years to produce more products like the ESR pipette and to expand geographically in Egypt and Africa especially with our neighbors (Libya and Sudan)

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

Our financial plan depends on our customers satisfaction so as to sell our products directly to the clinical laboratories or retailers and distributors with commercial prices.

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

As i said before we are the first to produce such a product in Egypt, Africa and the second in the MENA region. the first in the MENA region is a Jordanian producer who has a problem in quality as well as he is just copying from the German competitor with a high price.

Founding Story

After the 25th of January revolution in Egypt we found that the medical market affected with the importing movement so the prices was raising up and their were shortage in a lot of strategic products which affected the service of the clinical laboratory products so as an engineering students we decided to establish Kaizen and our slogan was simplicity means a lot as we are going to produce small products with a high social impact on patients especially the poor ones

we are a group of engineers believing in the growth of industrial situation of our country and region. We started since 2011 for now we are holding an Entrepreneurship driving license from the Nile University despite our participation in many entrepreneurship programs and organizations to improve our skills and we are using the our medical and market expert to achieve the most sustainable impact that we can.
