Elevator Pitch

Concise Summary: Help us pitch this solution! Provide an explanation within 3-4 short sentences.

Often we purchase medicines for a week and we only take dose for three days and the remaining medicine either remains in the fridge until it expires or thrown into the basket. Our idea is to create a channel through which these medicines doesn't go to waste and can be given to the poor and needy.

WHAT IF - Inspiration: Write one sentence that describes a way that your project dares to ask, "WHAT IF?"

About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

We often purchase medicines and doesn't take the whole pack. As a result the remaining medicine either stays in the fridge and expires or thrown in the waste.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

We are creating a channel through which these medicines can be collected, authenticated by professionals and sent to those who couldn't afford them. A website and a mobile application through which a user can submit the medicine name and location of user is sent to the authorities(Welfare Organisations, NGO's).
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

The people of third world countries like Somalia are so poor that they can't afford medicines. As a result the ratio of diseases in these countries are very high. Through our system medicines which we are wasting could be sent to these countries which could save the lives of people who couldn't afford the medicine of simple fever.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

Through this system the ratio of Malaria, HIV/Aids, Hepatitis(A,B,C) and other diseases could be reduced in backward countries.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

By playing our role as an individual we can play a bigger part in the betterment of african region. African countries are most affected by HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and malaria because the poverty rate is so low that they can't afford medicines. WHO is playing it's part but it can be more efficient if we send medicines which are useless to us but can save the life of a mother who could die giving birth to a child, the life of a child who could die due to malaria.

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

This plan requires attention of not only the welfare organisations but also of the Governments and World health organisation to ensure the transparency of delivery process and authenticity of medicines. But most of all it will require the participation of general public to make this plan workable.

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

There are a lot of organisations working for health reforms in Africa but our system is first of its kind.

Founding Story

Watching a kid dying and knowing that it could've been saved if given proper medicine is the burden which I can't bear anymore so as an individual we want to play our part in saving lives.

Our team consists of programmers, designers and IT technicians but as our project progress we will need people for marketing of our product. Currently our team has the expertise to develop this system with excellent standards.
