This intervention aims at eliminating the stigma and discrimination towards patients suffering from dementia and their families. Stigma and discrimination adds extra burden to the families that are already experiencing hardship facing the disease and its biological and psychological consequences. According to scientific literature, prejudices and stereotypes are acquired during childhood. Moreover, children may already be experiencing the consequences of dementia being the grand-children of patients. Ignorance may produce fear and inability to understand and communicate with the patient.
